Are you a lover of books, do you take care of them and treat them with the respect that you should? Imagine that every time an open book is placed face down, in a cruel, spine breaking split the book screams in agony or that the folding of page corners to produe dog ears results in howls of protest! Dog ears belong on dogs not on the pages of books, so come clean are you a spine-breaker, a folder of dog ears or do you have something special that you use to mark your place in a book?
Spine Breaker or Ear Folder?

Absolutely not!! Hate to see a book unloved. I have a metal butterfly split marker that my daughter bought me for Mother’s day a couple of years ago. I also use a bead and thread marker that’s very pretty. Otherwise it’s a piece of tissue or a receipt or something else similar slightly poking from the top of the book.
Concert tickets. I like to use ticket stubs from gigs I’ve been to as bookmarks. Then I leave the ticket in the end of the book. That way if I read the book again in the future I’ll have something else to remember.
