Dark Side of The Moon by Elizabeth Carty‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ by Elizabeth Carty will be officialy launced on Saturday the 19th November at 3pm in Navan Library by Deirdre Kinahan from Tall Tales Theatre Company. Elizabeth is a native of Loch Gowna, Co. Cavan. She has been living in County Meath for the past 25 years. Her short stories have won several national and international awards. She is three times winner of George Bermingham short story prize. ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ was shortlisted for the UK Writer of the Year Award 2008. She has been a contributor to RTE’s ‘A Living Word’, ‘Sunday Miscellany’, and Lyric FM’s ‘A Quiet Quarter.’ Her stories have been shortlisted for the Francis McManus awards on several occasions and her works published in a number of anthologies.

Dermot Somers

Meath County Library service & ENFO present an evening with Dermot Somers in Oldcastle Library on Thursday 17th of November at 8pm. Writer, broadcaster and mountaineer Dermot has presented many travel and adventure programmes on TG4 and RTE. His fiction, history and travel writings have been published in English and Irish, winning awards in both languages. This is an evening not to be missed.
